I like it. For some reason I had put you on ignore, not recently, but in the distant past. Probably an expression of my inner grumpy old man. Time to un-ignore, since I've ended up reading your posts and appreciate your sense of humor.

Not that it would matter one wit to you, one way or the other, I presume.

make it legal for anyone over 50 to have MaryJ or mushrooms but only if you grow your own

Just to surprise some people, I'd say ok to this but 30 sounds better than 50. 50 means you're only concerned about babyboomers.

I don't think this would be that big a change from now.

I pay attention to how laws are enforced. I know of a case where a guy in Houston had a mj plant growing in his backyard - a neighbor called the cops on it - i wasn't a neighbor btw - just heard the story from someone who knows them. A police officer came out, walked into the backyard and pulled up the plant and left. No charges, thats it.

I also read a local paper dealing with arrests - everyone I notice gettign arrested for marijuana possession, do so because they decided to break a traffic law or steal from a store etc while they had marijuana on their person. Or they're growing 150 plants obviously for sale. I conclude a person could grow their own at home, smoke their head off and never worry about the law. So whats the complaint? All I can figure is people who can do this and aren't satisfied want a whole lot more.
