I'll never have to be worried about being on a doomed flight, as I don't fly, I hate flying. I love planes, but I don't like flying. You don't have any control of the situation, you are at the mercy of pilots.

I used to fly a lot.

I've stopped now, due to the incredible hassle that TSA imposes on travelers. Enough of the rousting of 82 year old great-grandmothers, while young women in head to toe burkahs traipse through security with a nod and wink.

Do I feel safer because of the added "security?"

Hell no!

Cheeky Kid, forget the pilots. They're pretty much okay. However, you are at the mercy of the airplane mechanics and maintenance personnel and the people who sell the airplane parts and the people who buy them. - Holly
