i think you are too nice. i don't think they are scared, i think their best and brightest ain't too good and not too bright.

i can see where trickle down makes sense in an economy where goods are scarce. it is when goods are plentiful that it makes no sense. goods have been plentiful for quite some time.

in the end, it comes down to who gets the whole dollar and who gets a few pennies, if anything. the wealthy want the whole dollar every time (only care about themselves, screw the less fortunate) so they pound on the trickle down theory even when it makes no macroeconomic sense.

the dems are busy throwing political parties to engage their brains, i guess. i don't know. this isn't rocket science. maybe they think their constituency can't comprehend these ideas and so they don't bother communicating them.
