Oh my gosh, I'm sorry to hear that! Hope those guys get caught, and do time....Glad you are ordering her pepper spray...order her a LOUD whistle as well... Too bad she can't carry a squirt gun filled with ammonia as well....

We need shoes that have a hidden knife blade in the toes that could come forward with a well placed kick.....

They might frown on pepper spray too, but it would be worthwhile to check out.

I get so disappointed in the human race.

Smithee, some words of caution re pepper spray, TASERs, and ammonia . . .

Before you turn your daughter loose with pepper spray, please enroll her in a class, preferably one held by the local police department. Pepper spray has a happy facility for blowing back onto the person using it. In other words, pepper spray can disable the one it is intended to protect--and often does.

TASERs: Assuming they would be legal for civilian use in her jurisdiction, again, a police-sponsored training class would be in order. It is important to remember NOT to touch the person who has just been TASER'd, for such can send a nasty electrical charge through the innocent toucher. It should go without saying that the spent TASER darts should not be touched for a quite a while. If water or even heavy moisture is present (not uncommon in the PNW), electrocution is a prime hazard in the use of TASERs.

Ammonia should be avoided. Ammonia causes alkali burns and can cause permanent blindness. See above re pepper spray blowback and the possible hazards to the hapless, innocent user who means only to defend his/her person.

Hope this helps. - Holly
