BTW, I usually have >30 tabs open on my computer as well....drives my wife nuts <g>.

i guess that depends on what you have on those 30 tabs...
it's doubtful she be pissed at you if they were tiffany, coach, and neiman marcus.com

I usually have a couple of tabs open and switch back and forth between them....and they dont go blank when I leave them.

that is weird. you would expect the behavior to be the same. i noticed the problem with 3 and 4 windows open. not sure about 2. it would be a big problem trying to view pages away from home.

also, while the screen seemed large enough in the store, when i actually tried to read a 1500 word article on it i found it laborious and a bit of a strain on the eyes. i'd say it took twice as long to read as on my Macbook.

my takeaway from all this is that these little devices will not cut it, at least for me in the near future. i will continue to hold out hope that Apple comes out with an ultraportable that has good battery life and a screen size somewhere between the 13" Macbook and the iPhone.
