"Hell, millions took to the streets during Vietnam all the time, and it didn't work."

I think it worked. The war ended. It just took longer than ANYONE could have imagined it would, just like this one. Wars seem to be much easier to start than to end. It's like the difference between cutting and raising taxes.

Tonite, on Anderson Cooper they had this brief description of HW Bush. Apparently, he was the youngest Navy pilot in WW II......19. And got shot down a couple of times during combat. He received all kinds of medals for his bravery. As I listened to the description, I realized why I voted for him. In the mess we are in now, I had forgotten what I liked about the man.......all I see now is the person who birthed GW......and for that, he is suspect.

If HW is as good as he seems, how the hell did he end up with a son like GW? It boggles the mind.

>Hell, millions took to the streets during Vietnam all the time, and it didn't work. They shot folks dead at Ohio State. I was in the front lines of the police riot at the 1968 Democratic Convention in Chicago.

They just arrested 150 protesters in DC. Nobody cares.
