I thought I had replied yesterday to this! Must have forgotten to hit the post button. I do that a lot. Is there an herb for that?

Thank you for the link. One of those articles really intrigued me.

"A diet rich in plant foods and fish, with little meat, is associated with reduced rates of deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism, according to researchers at the University of Minnesota.*

My husband frequently has used the Atkins diet when he wants to drop weight, despite my objections. Since he has been the most healthy man I know (the only day of work he has missed in 25 years was that night in the hospital and his cholesterol is well under 200), I didn't have a lot of ammunition. I sent it on to him, and though I know he rolled his eyes, maybe he will give it some consideration.

By the way, CW is doing extremely well now-- the virus is gone and left no aftereffects. Getting off the prednisone was almost as bad as the virus itself though. Very nasty stuff. One thing CW has concluded after that awful year and a half, is that his body is much happier with no meat. He loves sushi, so he is ok with fish, but he says he can really tell the difference when he eats red meat. He also gave up milk, and drinks soy.
It is so wonderful to have him healthy again!
