Funny thing...Iranians needed neither nukes nor had to rain down billions of dollars in bombs on Afghans to overcome US and NATO pressure to get here.

More to your point sun, Karzai has made overtures to the taliban. The less extreme members of the taliban (am guessing they exist) probably dont have any great love for bin laden who suckered them into war and abandoned them for the lush life in the tribal territories of pakistan. If Karzai sees a possible rapprochement with the taliban, some of them must be more moderate than the crazies who allied with al quaeda and took down that buddhist or hindu mountain. I forget which.
