Vernie you could be correct about Gold, I have no doubt that it could be a rough ride from here... seems like someone should jump in to support the dollar.

This is a long term pattern play.

I still like your orphan candle idea and do use it.

Besides price projection, you can use it for time projection to look for the top.

A question though, this last Tuesday we have an orphan candle
on SPY. Now it is not quite as clean, but it is close.
Should you use that candle in the leg from Sept. 10 or Sept. or 17? If you use Sept. 17, the move could be over. If you use Sept.10, the move will go to 1555 to 1560 area. And should do so this coming week.

Or can you use that orphan candle from Tuesday from the leg starting on August 16? Maybe that is something to be determined as things play out.

NDX and SPX show the same basic orphan candle.

Thank you for the read on the orphan candle for GLD. Is it possible to calculate the depth of the pullback or to give an educated guess as to what price GLD will pull back to?
