I'm sure Seattle will follow their lead.

didn't realize you had to be a citizen to get a drivers license. Aren't millions of legal immigrants in this country who haven't ever taken citizens exam and drive? i am surprised the right to drive requires citizenship.

what to the snow birds who come down to florida every winter do? I suppose they do not fall into requirement for license since they return home for a few months each year.

However, we have many , perhaps not millions that come here with green cards? and do not take citizenship papers out. I thought they had license to drive. guess not?

In response to your questions about voting.

In Virginia, we have Voter Registration Cards by Precinct and polling place in addition to Driver licenses with photo ID.

Voter Reg. Cards are issued before elections to allow for verification at the County Voter Registrar's Office and preparation of master lists for polling places.

We no longer have social security numbers on driver licenses. We have a different number plus photo ID.

When you vote. You show your Voter Registration Card and picture ID.

What I don't know is what number is used by the County Voter Registrar Office to identify the voter on the Precinct List -----whether or not it is still by social security number or by the new number on the driver license.

There is a residency requirement for voting in Virginia.
We have to be concerned about people coming from other places to vote twice on election day ---primarily from Washington, D.C., Maryland or West Virginia.

There will likely be some sort of maneuvering and even demonstrations to allow illegals to vote imo. ( Heck we could have the whole of some country moving temporarily to America to vote as illegals--this of course is the extreme)

In big cities, such as New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami it appears almost impossible to have a handle on who belongs there and who doesn't.

In rural areas or small towns and small cities--------the job of identifyng who is a resident and citizen is very manageable.
