I caught the first three Monk's (Sarah, Snoop, and one about a suspicious car wreck) but then my social life must have picked up or something because I saw no others after that. I will definitely catch a few of them today, God and timing willing.

I made the big move from cable to satellite and from hbo to hbo-not about 10 days ago, and have missed two Mill Maher's so far and willl miss my 2nd Larry David this evening. Definite DT's, but I believe I'm getting over it. I first got HBO in the late-80s when I bought one of those descramblers on the street for $100. It continued to work until about 2002 when it just suddenly didn't work anymore and I had no choice -- thanks to the Sopranos -- to start paying the vig. I got The Dish now with no premium channels but I get Encore and 2 or 3 of The Movie Channels for free. My tv watching is definitely down -- I spend less time cruising the guide looking for films to dvr -- and my bill is way down. Reception is fine.

I didn't really like Venus all that much but maybe I wasn't paying close enough attention. I saw Cruising last night, just recently released on dvd and thought it was pretty good, but the murders were very gruesome, very 70s. Yuck. I'm really going to try to go to an actual theater this week and see Eastern Promises, if I can afford it. Come on, PHPG!
