Why are you not upset about the government reneging on a contract. Doesn't this help strengthen the dollar. ?? Think of what all the foreigners will think when they see this. We give them a hard time about child labor. Won't they give us grief about sweatshop geriatric labor?? BTW: I have heard about some obscure Supreme Court ruling that SS is not a binding contract upon the US. Quite unlike government bonds.
