RealMuLan, slow down, careful there <G> -

Adam Hamilton's well intentioned meaning was 'safety deposit' boxes are not safe....

In the 1930s they were opened whenever a bank closed....

They were called "T Men", or "Treasury Agents"....

Some of the stories I've heard, paper currency was often
pocketed by the T Men when they searched the boxes....

Actually, if you bought bullion, chances are they have your address, and one guy could find it in your backyard in about a minute.

If our gov't is that desperate to loot it's citizens, then the citizens will have to take equally desperate measures. I personally have not purchased any bullion, and I will rent out space in my own backyard for others who are more easily traced.

My dog will guard it for free. If necessary, I'll relocate your gold to Australia and leave no forwarding address, so as to be sure your gold is safe. And if absolutely necessary, I'll convert it into the local currency and spend it, so as to dispose of the evidence. There will be no extra charge for such extreme measures. <g>

<<"They would have to hire millions of police in order to do that<g>">>>>>

Sounds like a real possibility of a nice big and juicy no bid government contract awarded to Blackwater for going door to door, heavily armed, sniffing around for your gold in our future.
