Brains and alpha male-dom do go together in my experience. It's easier to be an alpha male with a high-performance brain than having one like a gorilla. Captains of All Black footy teams tend to be all-round champions, including intellectually. Having a high-horsepower brain is advantageous. That's why it has been selected for umpty millennia. Most people seem to genuflect to those who they think are more clued up than they are. I would bet that there is a direct correlation with alpha male-dom and brain-power. I doubt that there is an upper limit. I don't see why having better brain-power would become disadvantageous and the high end. Most people would like to have better brain function [propensity to booze notwithstanding]. Stupidity is treated in a way which other ethnic groups are NOT to be treated. Demeaning the dull is even approved, and commonly used as a means of humour. Doing the same thing to Negroes, women or homosexuals is considered poor form these days. Mqurice
