"what % of coalition troops could converse in Arabic ... Less than 1%? It's pretty hard to rebuild a country when you can't talk to the population." Part of that is American culture. Well, I'm not looking for excuses for poor preparation for the largest oveseas military operation since Vietnam, I'm looking for results. If we can't communicate with the post-Saddam Iraq population, that's a good argument against being heavily involved in its creation. The reason we can't communicate isn't that important.
