'The answers science gives are frequently "The preponderance of evidence suggests" or "It is a high probability that" or "It is very likely that" etc. Science is inherently cautious.'

People not willing to accept that will probably be discomfited to learn doctors use the same language in progress notes, x-ray interpretation, etc. ""Is consistent with" is a good one, too.

Yes, he does. Being honest and all.

But note that it is only on the peninsula there is such a trend. The greater part of Antarctica shows no warming trend.

It is difficult to measure warming on an entire continent. No, make that next to impossible for a continent like Antarctica.

Nonsense. If you're willing to accept the two temperature measurement stations on the Antarctic peninsula which show warming, you should be willling to accept the validity of the twelve other Antarctic stations which don't. You can't just accept one set of measurements but not the rest.

But many "scientific" questions don't have simple "yes or no" answers.

Thats where the AGW movement goes wrong insisting they KNOW the TRUTH.

No one observation or experiment "proves" anything..

One caveat to that - temperature measurements do measure temperature. And Ancarctic temperature measurements are unlikely to be affected by urbanization effects so they s/b some of the best available.
