I have no idea what the correlation was back then but would love to find out. But remember during the stagflationary 70's we weren't the great debtor nation we are today either and residential RE wasn't really ever in a bubble.

I was just in Chicago. The city is booming with construction and infrastucture improvements. 150 story Spire building to top your Freedom Tower. Seems like a massive condo bubble almost as bad as Miami only it is a real city like NYC with real end user demand that appears to just keep growing. Spoke to several Brits who felt everything over here is dirt cheap...
