Actually false advertising is easy to pick up on. Just look at eastern europe Peter. After 50 years of virtual slavery, they never gave up on human freedom. Iran mullahs in power for only 30 years. People arent buying into this crap. They want a better life, national recognition, better relations with the US, and more freedom even within an islamic framework. They are also very wary of their govt policy in the middle east and are frightened about being sucked in to arab affairs and war with israel over palestine.. They are very persian. US should minimize conflicts with the regime where the people support regime as in nationalism. We should also try to get them engage in the peace process even if futile because thats what the people in iran want. Push freedom and democracy and dont spend every waking moment (as you do at times) bashing islam. We need to engage islam and begin to understand a new type of democracy, political freedom and economic well being existing within the framework of a moderate islamic state as in turkey. Also need to settle border and kurd issues with both iran and turkey.
