Incoming e-mail ... rev up your sarcasm detector, Maurice

The SCMP reports today that Hong Kong is likely to CUT taxes again.

Personal top rates will be cut from 16% to 15% and Corporate rates will be cut from 17.5% to 15%.

Meanwhile Singapore has cut rates from 26% to 18% in the next year or two.

On the US front, with 22 US Republican Senator seats up for grabs, it appears that there is a good chance that the Democrats will hold the House, the Senate, and the Presidency. Every one of them seems to want to not only reverse the Bush tax cuts, but to raise taxes further. NOW THAT will make the US more competitive in a global environment.
