So you don't think we should pay taxes for the war? re: It's like running up a huge credit card bill, then going to my boss and demanding a raise. No, it's like facing reality. You think the public will ever make these guys reign in spending when they don't have to pay taxes to support it? If the tax rate got adjusted each year based on spending... yeah a "surcharge", you can bet you would get your wish of lower spending.
