WWII lasted 1941-45 for Americans; however it was already raging in Europe for yrs prior to the attack on Pearl Harbor. Unwavering determination is what it takes to defeat lunatics like Hitler and insane Jihadist terrorists. In fact, the situation is very similar in that many Europeans foolishly appeased Hitler, as he moved steadily forward across borders, until there was a general conflagration. Today, American Democrats downplay fanatic Islamist terror with the "bumper sticker" label and thereby deliberately diminish the perception of looming danger for US citizens. Bill & Hillary Clinton's eyes on 9/11/01 betrayed their gross underestimation of al Qaeda's danger during his Adm.

Who's a real leader in your eyes? ..is it Bill Clinton when he caused the incineration of 3000 Americans by al Qaeda because he failed to capture Osama prior to 9/11?..or when he lobbed a $1M missile into a tent and injured a camel?..or when he led a girl his daughter's age to a secluded area off the oval ofc? Possibly Hillary's your idea of a leader as she accepts campaign contributions from China & other nations through 3rd party donors...or when she accepts funds from Geo Soros in order to set up wacky nutroot groups, who slam authentic American heroes like Gen Petraeus.

Dems had real leaders in the past, FDR was one of them. He ignored the American people's overwhelming insistence that the nation should remain neutral on the war being fought in Europe. Roosevelt secretly sent massive amounts of aid to Britain. Once the Japanese struck Pearl Harbor, the nation finally agreed with his assessment of Hitler's serious threat to the US. That's leadership..it's ashame, and extremely dangerous for the nation, that Democrats no longer produce it. >in a democracy, leaders are there to represent the people and the wishes of the people. The current crop of GOP leaders seem to have forgotten that concept.<
