I haven't heard of this abomination yet, Proposition 1. I do not want to pay for mass transit so more people can get into Seattle. I also do not want to trade state land in my area for state land in the Seattle area, which is another cockamamie idea they are already acting on. So we get a big lakeside development and Seattle gets open space lands.

Sounds similar to the Virginia/Washington/Maryland area.

Growth has not paid for itself-------we have paid and paid-----bonds and more bonds----and taxes and more taxes.

I don't know how small business owners have survived in these environments. As the taxes increase, then consumers pull back also. And, many don't survive----particularly the restaurants that are more than fast-food places.
