I agree with all your changes, but I think all those things have been imagined already and are simply an extension of technologies that we have today. Nobody really imagined cell phone or the internet, but they grew out of existing technology.

I feel quite certain that the Middle East will have to revert back to the 11th century once we stop giving them all our money for their oil.

Here's one. I've read that there's more gold dissolved in a cubic mile of seawater than has ever been mined in the history of the earth. We could go after that.
