I would hang this one on the coach. In the second half he was delirious. He thought we had a running game and was scared of turnovers, so went to the run game way too much. Got out of the shotgun and the slant pattern that was the substitute for our running game. Once he did that, it was game over. Playing not to lose is a bad strategy. Should have kept the pressure on and if we lose by turnovers, so be it. Got to do what we are good at. It seems the slant has set up the run for us. To go away from the slant then and just run, well we were exposed in the second half as a team that still does not have a running game despite the first half stats.

Bottom line, we have a running attack when teams don't expect us to run. When they expect the constant slant pass, the run works. Get out of that, and we are dead.

This loss is on the young coach. Hopefully he will learn.
