That's a very profound principle that seems to escape our leaders.

Iran is not Iraq - it is a serious country with lots of pride and major resources. It will hit back, big-time throughout the ME, maybe including possible attacks in the US itself (if there is a war, why should the bombs only fall on one country?). In retaliation the US will quickly escalate.

Thus the beehive will ultimately get destroyed. But there will be many bee stings, and maybe some cases of allergic shock.

I think the usual suspects are counting on exactly this outcome. The dark art of politics.
