Sounds like the tax assessor is asleep at the switch.

We are going through a revaluation cycle. My assessed value is up 33% since I bought the house 5 years ago.

Do you remember how much land is involved here mph? And who in the world wants or needs 8 bedrooms in this day and age? It sounds like this is one of those mcmansions that was built at the peak of the real estate bubble.
