I had gone to a talk by a senior researcher from IBM about 7 years ago. He said then that the patents of Chinese researchers were not only increasing in numbers but also getting to be cutting edge. That was 7 years ago.

And why cannot 10 good Chinese researchers who studied and worked in US go back and start three innovative companies on oral insulin? Whats so surprising about that.
