They have thought about things and formed a philosophy. That is admiral in itself!

We try to keep things at the enlisted level here. :>) Minor parties succeed here by infiltrating major parties.

The Communists infiltrated the Democrats and installed their ideas. Democrats who call themselves "Liberals" and "Progressives" today are for the same Marxist programs the Communists tried to pass.

The Libertarians have been been infiltrating the Republicans and are doing the same them to them. Only we call ourselves "Eagles" or "Social Liberals and Economic Conservatives." The major candidates for the Republican nomination this year are pushing the envelope of Libertarianism.

Welcome to the thread. I think you'll find that LindyBill is both an active and fair moderator. He doesn't put up with BS, but he lets people have their say.

I think you are wrong about Republicans. It seems to me there are many liberal-minded Republicans. I don't see any conservatives among the Democrats, however. Maybe Leiberman.

Congratulations on your bold try for the state legislature. I personally am not interested in any such thing, but I admire the public service motive many like you have.

I saw LindyBill's response to your post, and I agree with him too. The Democrats have gone over the hill.

It seems our species is divided into sort of two sub species i.e. liberals and conservatives. Recent scientific research has born this out. Different ways of thinking.

The idea that political thinking must be to some extent "hard wired" intrigued me for a long time. Otherwise, it is simply inexplicable how sane and intelligent people can look at the same facts and see totally different things. Could you point out any of that "recent scientific research"? Tia.

That's an interesting subject, and I posted a couple links in response to skinowski's query. -Snow
