Get a grip. "Impeach Bush" wouldn't need to lead to riots because we have a representational system in Congress. If the majority of the representatives really wanted to impeach Bush, they could draw up articles of impeachment as was done for Clinton.

In every instance that such a threat, however remote, has materialized, the government and its agents have reacted very strongly. So your comparisons are not very apt.

Oh really? Clinton refused to leave office when Bush was elected? Bush will refuse to leave office if Hillary is elected? Is that what you claim?

Outside our borders, we seem willing to accept extreme brutality. We haven't had a war here in 150 years, and the people seem to credit that with our having our wars and other brutalities elsewhere, and excusing what we do "over there".

9/11, in the new, "globalized" world, it bit us back, and America was ready to crank it up in over-reaction. We had Bush in place to put our worst face forward. A wiser leader would have calmed us while pursuing the criminals responsible.

Bush took advantage of 9/11 to inflame us and implement agendas of his own. Bush seemed to revel in the political capital and powers that came with being a "war president" - at least while his pet war was going well.

A very sad and regretful part of American history. One we'll pay for for a LONG time.

Re: and you'll see that the US of A is as brutal as the worst of them.

Talk to people on a corner with a bible in Riyadh.

Or have a female member of your family walk around Islamabad in a bikini.

Let's see if the USA is really as brutal as the worst of them. I don't think you would take me up on this even if you could. You know what you are saying is pure nonsense.
