To some of the old guard ideological warriors on Big Dog's thread, it seems that anyone to the left of Ayn Rand, i.e. 99% of the world's population, is a socialist.

They deploy the term "socialist" the way the Cold Warriors used to deploy the word "communist" -- as an all purpose term to label anyone they disagree with or don't like or that has something they want.
