>Then they'll cover themselves by saying, "I don't have a problem with homosexuality, but I do have a problem with hypocrisy."

WTF? What on earth is wrong with that statement?

I have no problem with gay people (some of my best friends and relatives are gay), but I have a problem with people who try to oppress gays, and I have a further problem with those who try to oppress gays and turn out to be gay themselves.

That sounds incredibly reasonable.

"I've noticed that some liberal men tend to act out their own homophobia by bashing conservatives who are gay or act gay."

As you sure that is what is happening? If so, how?

That's cause these guys are invariably far right anti-gay crusaders. Don't you think that's at least a little weird?
