LIAR. Carter had no way of stopping Iranian extremists from overwhelming the corrupt and mortally ill Shah of Iran. You are completely ignorant of history to make a statement like that. But again, the rightwing encourages ignorance of history and replacing facts with rightwing myths and smears.

Carter may have made a few mistakes but he definitely couldn't have saved the Shah. And what was so worthy about the Shah anyway? He bought billions of dollars worth of US arms and wasn't a communist. So what? He was a dictator. I though you Bushies hated dictators.

And pray-tell, if there were something the US presdient could have done to overthrow the Iranian revolution, why didn't Reagn do it instead of arming the iranian extremists the way he did using Ollie North as his arms trafficker.
