True Americans aren't worried about this, because they're gonna get Raptured. Why worry about current trends on Planet Earth when soon you're going to be in heaven drinking infinite amounts of beer, shooting infinite flocks of ducks (per Huckabee) and having sex with infinite arrays of virgins? (Oh wait, maybe that last one is for those other nutcases). Seriously, a large part of the population believes that the worse things get, the better things are. Approaching doom means heaven is just around the corner. We call these people "Bush Supporters".
