OT: At the risk of incurring the wrath of Our Fearless Leader, this so-called joke was crap, and you should be ashamed of yourself for pandering to anti-immigrant sentiment. Immigrants in general have a much greater work ethic than native-born Canadians. (I'm not just pulling this out of my hat -- it has been repeatedly confirmed by research.) The problem is that we place so many barriers in their way -- overt and covert racism, refusal to recognise credentials, etc. -- that they have a much harder time finding work, especially non-menial work that reflects their skills and abilities. This is a trend that is unfortunately getting worse rather than better, and is something Canada needs to change ASAP for the sake of the country. I will post no more on this issue on this thread, so don't bother replying. LC
