>>You need to find the preference "drive Roy crazy" and uncheck it.

I found that preference and it is checked, however it is also grayed out so I cannot uncheck it. :)<<

Roy -

That's intentional on Apple's part, of course.

Interestingly, it's only set that way for certain user names. "Doren", for instance.

PS: Both SP's post on this and your response made me laugh out loud. You guys is funny.

>>Any of you interested in the film Blade Runner may want to check out the new Blade Runner: The Final Cut version of the film playing at select theaters around the country. Critics have hailed it for its stunning visuals, and now you can finally see it as director Ridley Scott had originally intended.<<

So the Director's Cut version I have on DVD is not how Ridley Scott intended it to be? That must have been so frustrating for him.

Personally, I think he should make a new movie instead of continually trying to sell us new versions of this one. ;-)

Not that it isn't great.

Hi Roy
It's not an easy thing to meet your maker.

I hope the DVD release is good.

Often when I see a movie "directors cut" I have high hopes but get disappointed. Usually the director puts in all sorts of meaningless crap that people go googley over - like a white canvas that somewhat swatted a fly on but it's in an artists studio and all the pseudo-intellectuals are pecking and clucking to try to find meaning and the poor artist now can't admit because all those people find inner meaning.

Often I tend to like to initally released version better.

Hopefully Ridley Scott has taste.

The only version I have is on tape, so I have an excuse to tell my spouse to let me buy the DVD... :-)

Thanks for the info Roy. (Blade Runner) One of my favorites. If it's coming in BluRay, it would be reason enough for me to take the plunge and add the player to my set up.
