wtf has our civil war got to do with the Iranian mullahs? Did either side of the civil war send out waves of little kids as human shields to take the bullets? No? Then it's not a good comparison, is it? Furthermore my positions on Israel, which you continually misrepresent as being ultra-likudnik-greater-israel (they're not and never have been, you are willfully misunderstanding them), have NOTHING WHATSOEVER to do with my suggestion that one look objectively at the history of relations between this Iranian regime and just about every other country, and take note what has become of the many, many attempts to negotiate with them. Nor do they have anything to do with my suggestion that we pay attention to what they are actually saying and doing, and treat them as responsible adults who perhaps are just saying what they believe. If they respond to Americans in Iraq by training and arming the JAM to kill them, then a rational response does not consist merely of a nice little chat between diplomats over 'mutually beneficial results'. Oh, the diplomats should talk, but the US diplomats should make it clear that the favor will be repaid in kind.

Happy Halloween all. The lost book of Nostradamus was on the History channel last night. That show was more scary than any of the silly Halloween shows on the regular channels. Check it out if you get a chance. history.com
