When I was stationed in Norfolk we tried to do some civil war and war of Independence fields and they were pretty chilling also. I mean Custer's arrogance was going to get him killed sooner or later and that was just a handful of folks compared to some of our civil war battles but Little Big Horn is quite gripping. Our response to that at Wounded Knee is positively appalling. And giving out 20 Medals of Honor for shooting women,children and old and sick still has the Sioux ready to hit the war path out there. I would like to see Wounded Knee and walk those grounds but have been told by my brother in CO that is not a good idea and your not terribly safe on that reservation.
