re: This is outrageous. I can't believe the state of Georgia allowed things to get so bad. Atlanta is THE city of the South and one of the most important cities in the country. Its just amazing to me that they didn't react to the city's diminishing water supply until it was too late. They are now between a rock and a hard place. There is no way they can let 5 million people go without water.

It's pretty weird that because you happen to be north of others, you have control of their water resources which (naturally) flow south. 'suppose there will be a mini-civil war? Naw, no National Guard troops left in the states to fight it.

It does seem to be a marker for the future... states fighting over resources that were once thought to be plentiful.

BTW, got my gas tank filled for the spa heater for the winter season. 80 gallon tank, $500. Probably get 20 or so weekends out of that... so about $25 every time we fire up the spa (and that's with solar to pre-heat it a little).

Think I will pass next year.

The answer is, no water for golf courses and all the McMansions with lawn jockeys first.

One would think, but remember who "they" are.
