I think I add the rice to the gumbo so it gets the flavor, I can't remeber if I cook it first or add it 1/2 hour before it's done. Have to watch your liquid

looks like I serve the gumbo over the rice. I was thinking Jambalaya where you put the rice in the mix

I put the rice in the gumbo...everyone I know does.

I just read the other recipe, and there was no rice. That is wrong.
