Zeus, You have to remember that right wing Republicans are often ashamed to admit they are right wing Republicans, since they have been on the wrong side of every important issue since the Jeffersonian and then the Jacksonian Democrats crushed the right wing nut job Federalists. I believe they should be ashamed of their politics, but I don't believe that they should think so. It's sort of like these religions that keep dating when certain events are going to occur, then stay in business after they are proven wrong. Nearly every right winger who can think, and there are a handful, claims to be either an independent or a libertarian. A lot of lefties do too.

I am a progressive, liberal, leftie, whatever you want to call it, on most issues, and proud of our accomplishments. Only my progressive, liberal, leftie friends think I am something other than that. <G> I'm not a Democrat because they are only the better of two very bad choices.

Zeus,

>You split every CH under the sun, then take the republican right wing position every single time as you claim to hate it.<

I'm not sure what you are talking about.

I'm a libertarian. IMO, by definition makes right of center on virtually all economic issues (and some others too). So it's natural that I would take the republican side on a lot of issues. When I disagree with them though, I say so.

I think it's obvious that Mike is correct about Hillary. She voted for the war and pretty much everything else that Bush wanted related to it. Yet IMHO, she's been treated with kid gloves despite that - even by the people running against her.

Her rhetoric on Iran is also right up there with the "right".

AS far as the media goes, I think it's obvious that "the right" dominates talk radio and Fox leans pretty hard to the right, but IMHO much of the rest of TV media is either slightly left of center (CNN etc..) or pretty hard to the left (PBS, MTV and other smaller cable networks).
