I am a libertarian, but have more in common with the republicans (at least the small government, low tax kind that used to inhabit the party) and think they are typically the better of two bad choices. I can tolerate the religious conservatives because I agree that some values are superior to others. I just don't need a God to define them for me or want to impose them on others the way they do. I want everyone to use their intelligence, common sense, and look at the stats and results. If they did, they wouldn't need a God to define anything or feel the need to impose anything on anyone because most people on both sides of the aisle would be encouraging most of the same values, while tolerating the differences. My legitimacy as a libertarian is obvious. I spend a lot of time calling Bush an idiot, the neocons traitors, and some on the religious right nut jobs etc.... I question yours. You can't even call out the democrats for voting for the war because they were either stupid enough to fall for Bush's lies or because Bush was so popular they didn't want to buck the politics. You simply blame the republicans for lying instead. You would gain some credibility if you would actually call them idiots or scumbags for voting the way the did given your views.
