Wayne, I am not a Libertarian. The Libertarians, all 122 of them, are descendants of Jeffersonian Democracy. I am a liberal, a descendant of Jacksonian Democracy. Neither have anything in common with the elitist Republican Party.

I have called out the Democrats and former Democrats (the hideous Joe Lieberman stands out here) for their Iraq votes. The one I am closest to backing, Obama, never made such a vote and condemned the war from the start. Some, like Edwards, have apologized for their mistake. Others, like Lieberman, Kerry, Biden and Dodd are the ones in a picture I posted from Bartcop, dancing in pink tutus to Bush's tune. And I've praised the handful of decent Republicrooks, like Warner and Hagel.

You would gain some credibility if you stopped building straw dogs based upon the cartoon liberals you read about on hate sites and started listening to what people actually say.

Ron Paul supporters. The Tucker Carlson Show did a special report on Ron Paul's supporters today and a reporter is traveling with Paul. Most of his campaign appearances are on college campuses. It was funny because Carlson claims to be a Libertarian and has voted for Paul in the past, according to him. Most of Carlson's ideas are straight right wing Republican and he hates Hillary with a passion, but he has done some humanitarian work in the past, so he may not really be Republican. He was shocked to hear the makeup of his fellow travelers. You need to see the entire segment. The highlights:

1. Paul's supporters are young, radical liberals, anarchists and nerds. They cheer going back to the gold standard more than they cheer decriminalizing drugs. These are obviously students at colleges I have never attended nor have I visited them. <G>

2. Paul is an awful speaker, which I have mentioned many times.

3. He doesn't really know much, but he believes in it fervently.

4. Students who are attending school thanks to govt. loans National Merit Scholarships and fellowships loudly cheer the concept of small govt. <G> And the chickens always vote for Colonel Sanders.

5. They like Paul for the same reason I like Imus, despite disliking him. <G> He sticks it to the military industrial complex in ways the main stream suits fear to imitate.

6. Paul is a nice old codger. That hasn't done me any good with younger babes.
