So... they were *all* created at once - there will never be any more added, and they are 'warehoused' somewhere, until they are needed for use?

(That would imply either that there is an UPWARD LIMIT to the number of inhabitants the entire Universe can ever have - at least, a limit to inhabitants with souls... or that there will always be a 'surplus' of unused souls, some there that will never get used....)


Well, actually, there is a third alternative, e.g., that there are an infinite number of souls in that warehouse and that people will forever inhabit this planet, although I don't suspect that to be the case... however, if you ask me, I would more likely maintain that there is an upward limit available, yet enough of a supply to go around until our sun expands into a supernova and devours all the planets in its wake...
