One fact about the wind that you and anyone else can take to the bank is, that it is unpredictable, its never a constant. Period end of story.

apparently your ascribing rules of economy to countries which lack economic foundations outside of the natural resources they might possess and the myths surrounding those same resources.

Human Capital, not natural resources is the fuel of economics.

Natural resources are valuable, they are especially extortable during particular windows of time. But, relying solely on a natural resource base is like predicting the wind, one guarantee is unpredictable outcomes will certainly follow.

To rely upon natural resources as substitute for rational economics is foolish. Yes, putin or chavez or achtung can leverage their natural resources to extort political power and great wealth for oligarchs, but at the same time, their respective countries retreat as economies, because too few are benefiting according to the dictates of socialism.

maybe thats the outcome they seek. ultimately this window of opportunity will close and the the wind will shift to a favorable direction that has no relationship to the planned outcomes those governments seek.

Collusion of interests is a mind game, its liars poker, eventually the game ends and what you have left is a table full of liars.
