Alan; They hate us so because we are kaffir (or kuffar, in another spelling) -- unbelievers A few - of course. But not long ago they were emulating us - and in a few areas still do. Those extremist - like extremist in any religion - will always be a problem that must be dealt with. Don't you remember how westernized Iraq was before we took over their country? We took that good will and smashed it. The same will happen if we invade Iran. They too are grasping for the freedoms and way of life of western ways, but the one thing that will change all of that is if we invade their country. Then all gains are gone as they rally around their leaders. Any other conclusion is absolutely nuts and complete hubris. Hate to be the bearer of bad news to you Alan. steve
