as many have mentioned here before, electric cars are on the verge of becoming viable options. So there you have it, solar powered cars. There are a few electric car startups here now not just Tesla.

What amazes me about every new technology- solar or electric cars or even hybrid vehicles, is the number of pundits who take a straight line calculation and conclude "that will never work". For example those that said hybrids would never fly because a year ago, the additional cost for a hybrid dollar for dollar didn't equate to fuel savings (I'm sure it does now). thats not the way consumer behavior works and yet these pundits and some in our government can't see any alternatives. Solar panels did not need to achieve grid parity to be successful. They have, but they did not need to. Its a piece of mind issue same with a hybrid.
