The chimp Nero was never able to even get his (R) Congress to "make the tax cuts permanent", because EVEN THEY knew you have to pay the piper eventually, and that tax cuts are 100 times easier to do than tax hikes and require ZERO political courage.

So, they'll be allowed to expire. No "tax hikes" needed.

Raising taxes won't pay own the debt. It will just hurt the economy and jobs. We will get less revenues. It's the spending.

Z, > Some of the candidates are planning on bringing taxes back to where they were before Bush, but Bush's tax cuts weren't exactly "across the board."

Yes they were. Everyone who paid income taxes got a tax cut.

You're "nuancing" on this "across the board" nonsense.

Well, there will be a steep rise in taxes at some point --

Well, here we go! What many of my co reps haven't understood is: The dems are not scared off by the perspective of tax hikes, because... THEY WANT IT!!!
