Curitiba is 13C average in winter. 21C in Summer. Of course at Santa Claus's latitudes is way colder. Houses are all: cold in winter hot in summer.

I looked for lot that I could place house facing the North. Now windy area (difficult to find there).

Spent USD2.500 in solar heating for the water (we have wild swings of temperature: one day may be 25C, next 12C, then up again.

Fireplace (wood is very cheap there). Double glazing with PVC window frame (both a rarity in Brazil) most window framing is wood or aluminum and 4mm glass.
