sadr is playing it smart after watching al quaeda demise. He will be around long after we leave. He has bought into the asian mindset about instant gratification being secondary to victory. I agree that persian/arab tension will arise but in the end in a country where shiaa are 60%, they will have largest say. Kurds are OK with that because they are defacto independent so its really 80-20. US cant stay in forever to fight that outcome. For neocons you can now say you did the job.
1. saddam gone
2. al quaeda gone
3. majority rule of sorts
4. sunni nationalistt tribal guys in control of sunni area.

Its not a bad outcome and perhaps if you folks didnt react to pelosi and reids stupidity, you would start saying this and better yet the american people would start buying into the Victory story. This is not aikens declare victory in a clear defeat situation. This is declare victory in a muddled by more positive than before situation. So declare victory and start coming out in orderly fashion thus giving republicans a chance in the next election if one values that outcome.
