I start buying as a speculative bet on cheap warrants. I tend to buy heavily if the warrants are cheap and the management has a big investment in the company (own lots of warrants, loan money to the company, continue to buy warrants/stock on the open market).

This doesn't always work. I was stuck when Oracle Healthcare Acq
OHAQ.ob flopped when it couldn't finalize an agreement with its acquisition. Here, the two main insiders had purchased $500,000 worth of warrants in the IPO. I never expected them to give up so easily.

I don't have the ability of determining which have good management or bad management. If I buy cheap enough, one good winner will make up for two or three losers.
